TERSELLE
Elina Tersenidou was born in Saratov, Russia. When she was 18 she left to study law in Greece, a country she'd learned to love through her family's stories. A top student but wild at heart, she felt her revolution would come through art and that's how Terselle was born.
She was deep into music ever since she was young. In Russia she went to a music school, she took classic piano and pop jazz vocals lessons for years, and she sang first soprano at a choir, but she was as passionate for Mozart or Rachmaninov, as she was for heavy metal and russian punk. She will never forget the first time she discovered Moby and t.A.T.u. on MTV or the time she stopped doing covers and started writing her own songs. She was only 11 years old.
Despite her classical music education, she formed her artistic identity through her personal experiences and her influences, which range from Joy Division and Interpol, and from Burial to Aphex Twin, to Lana Del Rey, Amy Winehouse and Arleta.
She thinks every song she writes has its own color, character and essence. She draws inspiration from the images and sounds that surround her, the stories she hears, the feelings she experiences and the never ending conversation between what drives her and what surrounds her.
"Ebnefsi" (Inspiration) is the title of Terselle's first song which will officially come out in 2022 on Akti Music.
